Our Sages knew the constellations as we know them today. The only exception is that the name of the eagle that has been changed for the scorpion. The Cherubims faces are the signs in the middle of the four quarters of the Zodiac. Lion is Leo. Bull is Taurus, Man is Aquarius the Waterer. The eagle is Scorpio. The 12 Tribes were arranged around the Tabernacle according to the Zodiacs order. 4 Tribes were the middle of each part. Juda is the Lion, Reuven is the Man, Ephraim is the Bull and Dan is the eagle.
